Feature Release - Trending TikTok posts
We’re excited to announce a new feature to Trends by Granularity that includes links to the top trending TikTok posts for your followed category.
Introduction
We’re excited to announce a new feature to Trends by Granularity that includes links to the top trending TikTok posts for your followed category. We’ve heard from our users the importance of seeing viral trends first hand, so we’ve worked hard to bring that information available to inventory planners. This is part of further integrating TikTok – one of the leading sources of today’s consumer trends – into demand and product planning.

Virality at your fingertips
In our new patch for Release 1.1 of the Trends platform, you can view links to the top 5 TikTok posts for a given product. Before, we heard from users who went to search TikTok and other social media sites for the trending posts that explained what they saw on our platform. Now that has been added as an easy to view section with links to search Tiktok with pre-created queries designed to get virality to your fingertips in one click.
This is an exciting update that lets product managers and marketing professionals find the relevant and trending Tiktok posts for their lines of products without the hassle of searching and scrolling through Tiktok’s algorithm. It also helps provide context as we at Granularity focus on explainability of AI in our tools.

Continuing the trend
This is not the first TikTok feature that we’ve created for Trends by Granularity. TikTok data has been a critical search of finding consumer trends since our inception. For users with experience on our platform, they’ll often use the “social” checkbox to view how search and social trends compare. That index of social trend data is feed by TikTok data, along with Instagram, Youtube and other data sources.

Upcoming features
We’ve heard from users the importance of identifying the underlying data and actual posts behind a trend, and viewing the top TikTok posts is the beginning of several exciting features we have planned to add more visibility into the social media influence on consumer trends. That includes unscaling indexes to provide raw numbers of search and social data sources, highlighting influencers for categories and products, identifying the cross-pollination of social media users between consumer trends, and more prediction and AI built to forecast these consumer trend waves.
